Netscape 8 is out now, but if you read the EULA you may find some rather disturbing items:

AOL INSTANT MESSENGER ("AIM") AND AN AOL MEDIA PLAYER ENGINE ("MEDIA PLAYER") ARE INCLUDED WITHIN THE NETSCAPE 8 BROWSER. THE EXECUTABLE VERSIONS OF THE NETSCAPE 8 BROWSER, AIM, AND THE MEDIA PLAYER ARE REFERRED TO COLLECTIVELY HEREIN AS THE "BROWSER."

Unacceptable. This is the primary reason I won't be using Netscape, even though it appears to have many features that Firefox should look into. Great software ruined by bundling crap software with it.

Some portions of the Browser and/or third party software products may be installed through different mechanisms in order to ensure that the download will be quick and convenient. In some cases the entire software product is downloaded at one time and in others a small piece of software (the "Stub") will be installed initially that can then "call out" over the Internet to a web server and complete its installation on your computer at a later time (i) during the installation process, (ii) when the Stub detects that you have available bandwidth or (iii) when you have requested use of a function that requires that software product.

More crap software - third party apps? I don't want them.

AUTOMATIC FEEDBACK. You agree that the Browser may periodically check your computer system for, and report back, without additional notice to you, information relating to your use of the Browser, including, for example, information relating to the frequency of your use of the Browser, your Browser configuration settings, and information on computer errors, malfunctions or other abnormalities occurring during your use of the Browser.

Unacceptable.

Netscape may deliver to your computer or other device upon which the Browser is installed automated updates, modifications, and/or patches to address issues such as security, interoperability, and performance (collectively "Updates")

Not horrible, but I still want control over when this occurs. From this text it I cannot tell if it is truly automated and thus out of my control - but it appears so.
