I just discovered that in Windows 7 - Disk Manager when you are reassigning the drive letters of an iSCSI volume, you need to be very careful which option you choose, as setting it active will trash the ntloader file and your system will not boot until you put the install DVD back in and use the repair tools. It worked like a charm, however, and I'm back into my system.
