Twitter Drops Support for RSS

New Twitter API Drops Support for RSS, Puts Limits on Third-Party Clients

So now they have completely blocked all readers and aggregators from displaying tweets.  Well.  How nice.

Since the Twitter feed page sucks so bad - no way to mark them read, no way to sort them, etc - I have been using netvibes to pull the tweets from people I follow - this worked fine until Twitter broke RSS.

So now there is no way to view tweets other than on twitter.com?  That is unacceptable.  Oh yes, there is another way - allow some application to be authorized on twitter - but that lets it post as well, and I rarely ever post - I prefer to just read to keep up with current events, etc.  I'm not sure I want any application to be able to post on my behalf.  *sigh*
