Between naps, I managed to watch all three original star wars movies on DVD. When I say 'original', I mean the first three movies, not the latter two prequels. These are the 'fixed' ones that Lucas tweaked. I didn't really see anything wrong with them except for two things.

1. When R2D2 gets spat out of the water by the beastie on Dagobah, Luke originally said "You're lucky you don't taste good". Now he says "You were lucky to get out of there."

Why change that? That was a stupid change that took character and humor OUT of the movie.

2. At the end of Return of the Jedi, when Yoda, Obi Wan and Anakin are lined up all ghosty - they replaced David Prowse with the Anakin from the second prequel. *sigh* Stupid change. Even though Obi Wan and Yoda are still the old ones, Anakin gets to be the young ghost - like before he went evil? That's unfair. ;)

There are lots of articles listing every tiny difference and ranting and raving about them - I don't think anything was done poorly except the two minor issues above. Everything else either blended well or added to the movie in some way.

Now I'm gonna either take a nap or watch the fourth DVD of extra stuff. 4 hrs of it, so I'll likely watch most of it tomorrow.
