Last night I got the broken tooth filled - no numbing, she just put a filling on the exposed break, keeping it out of the contact zone with other teeth to try to keep it from being stressed. She said that this may hold for a long time, or only a short while. If it breaks or the filling comes loose, we'll have to pull the tooth.

Since it's a wisdom tooth there's really no point in wasting $800 on a crown.

We'll just have to cross our fingers and hope the filling holds for 30 yrs+, I suppose.
