Along with watching a lot of movies, Saturday I also installed Ubuntu on my older computer (Trotsky) after dropping a 250gb HD into it. Worked like a charm! A few little issues, but nothing huge.

I also configured Samba and after about 8 hrs of tweaking and research was able to begin copying the backup files from my main system (on WinXP) to a public share on the Ubuntu system. I may set up an rsync backup that would run on demand to back up the more critical items, we'll see.
