Maggie hasn't really eaten since bringing her home. She eats just a little, after much effort on my part. 2-3 tablespoonfuls. This morning I thought I would try dripping hot dog juice on the food to make it better, and dropped the hot dog.

So I chopped it up - she ate it like she was starving. But wouldn't touch the dog food. She will also eat Wendy's hamburger. My dog only wants junk food. At least she ate something.

Monday I'm taking her back to the vet for a post-op checkup and bloodwork. We should also get the results of the biopsies. I've never seen a dog back away and actively avoid food before - that worries me.

Other than her eating, she seems to be recovering nicely, the wound doesn't look as angry as before, the bruising on her abdomen is fading, and she doesn't shy away when I touch around the incision, so there doesn't seem to be much pain.
